Walking Together for Our Community

On May 9, 2026, Ireland Bank’s Aberdeen Branch proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon in support of the local Humanitarian Club, an organization that provides assistance to families and individuals facing difficult times in both Aberdeen and American Falls.

This year’s event was our most successful yet. Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and community members, the Walk-A-Thon raised $4,146 in pledges for the Humanitarian Club, helping support its mission of serving those in need throughout our communities.

The Aberdeen team handled all event preparation, including designing flyers, pledge sheets, and registration forms, as well as assembling swag bags for the first 25 registered participants. Donated by Ireland Bank, the bags included water bottles, trail mix, granola bars, lip balm, and cooling neck towels to help walkers enjoy the day.

A special thank-you goes to Lisa Warner and Charlie Peck, who helped promote the event by visiting local businesses throughout Aberdeen and American Falls. Their enthusiasm and outreach played a significant role in building participation and helping the Walk-A-Thon raise $4,146 for the Humanitarian Club.

The walk took participants along the Aberdeen Gem Trail, with Ireland Bank team members Lisa, Charlie, Claudia, and Jillian joining friends, families, and community supporters. One of the day’s biggest inspirations was Charlie’s 89-year-old grandmother-in-law, who walked alongside participants and kept everyone motivated. The event also coincided with the Aberdeen High School Color Run, adding even more fun and energy to the morning.
